About Darcy James Studio & Design

Darcy James Studio and Design is a small custom furniture business specialising in fine-furniture and wood products. Originally from north of Auckland now recently relocated to Central Otago, New Zealand while coninuting to be owned and operated by Darcy Atkinson.

Darcy has a passion for quality and attention to detail. He is a firm believer in following the correct process to achieve the desired result. He has a passion for unique timbers both NZ native and exotics and draws inspiration for an array of sources to create a unique style.

Darcy endeavors to combine traditional craftsmanship with modern methods for furniture construction to result in one-off pieces and small runs of fine furniture. Pieces that you can’t find anywhere else to suit your needs, wants and requirements.
